Abstract
The phase diagram of the CuI-BiI3-I system was studied by DTA, XRD and metallography methods. With the exception of the two known compounds Cu2BiI5 and CuBiI4, no other ternary phases are identified. The eutectic valleys are drawn, and the nature and the location of the three ternary invariant points are given: one peritectic point, one transitory peritectic point and one eutectic point.
