Abstract
The quaternary phase diagram CaO-La 2O 3-SiO 2-P 2O 5 was investigated in order to delimit an existence domain of single-phase oxy-silicophosphates. The studied samples were synthesized by high-temperature solid state reaction ( $1200\sim1400^{\circ}$C). The uranium solubility in Ca 5La 5(SiO 4) 3(PO 4) 3O 2 apatites was also studied. The obtained results exhibit that within the defined domain, it exists a solid solution between pure phosphate apatites Ca $_{\rm x}$La $_{\rm y}$(PO 4) 6O $_{\rm t}$ and pure silicate apatites Ca $_{\rm x}$La $_{\rm y}$(PO 4) 6O $_{\rm t}$. The uranium solubility in the Ca 5La 5(SiO 4) 3(PO 4) 3O 2 stoechiometry was found about 4.7% in cationic ratio.
